Chef Aaron and his team always prepare the most delicious and beautiful dishes using an abundance of what is in season each time. We love hosting them! This dinner is one you won’t want to miss! Chef Aaron Holt — owner of Doolittle Family Farm LLC and Catering by Doolittle Farm. A century-old family farm sits on 53 beautiful acres near Story City, where he grows an incredible array of seasonal fruits, vegetables, microgreens + edible flowers. His family has been tending this land since the late 1880s, and today his two daughters proudly represent the fifth generation to harvest its fields. Aaron’s mission is a special one: to restore the farm to the way it operated over 100 years ago, practicing regenerative agriculture + building a sustainable food future.

A self-taught chef with 20+ years in Iowa kitchens, Aaron launched his own business in 2017, crafting chef-inspired dinners that showcase the bounty of his farm. What began as intimate themed dinners has blossomed into a thriving, fast-growing catering company. He’s deeply committed to sourcing locally — proudly using Iowa-grown ingredients whenever possible — and stays inspired by emerging food trends, sustainability, and collaborating with chefs across the state.
